Captain Bill Bahr, founder of TOS, is a native Houstonian who grew up spending as much time as possible on or near the water.  His parents, uncles and aunts taught him to fish at an early age.  His first offshore trip, at age 13, was the start of his blue-water “addiction”, and over time he fished as many exotic locations as the budget and time would allow including Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and Alaska.  During those trips he noted that many charter captains and their crews were indifferent, and even rude to their clients.  “What’s up with that”, he thought, “I’m spending a ton of money and taking a lot of time and effort to make this trip happen, and all these guys want to do is take my money and get back to the dock – I know I could do a better job than this . . . “

Captain Bill understands the importance of discussing what you, the client, want to do before taking your deposit.  Some clients are seasoned veterans who want to target a single species all day long, moving from spot to spot as quickly as possible.  Other clients want to catch their limit of as many different species as possible.  Some want a slower paced experience, stopping often to shoot pictures, or even do some snorkeling.  If Captain Bill believes that he cannot adequately meet your needs, he will refer you to his network of capable charter captains and find a captain that’s right for you.  When you book a trip with TOS your needs will be met from the time you step onto the boat until the time the boat returns to the dock.
